Wouldn't it be nice to be able to enjoy your month with minimal problems going to the bathroom? Really...should going for a poop really be that big of task?
No!
Your bowel movements should be as natural as they were when you were a child. But be advised, some natural changes have occurred that could make your poop session alot more different compared to your youth, including growing longer intestines and colon, performing less physical activity, and consuming heavier amounts of food more regularly when hungry.
In this article we are going to explain how the intestines and colon change over time, the impact of less physical activity, and how regular eating of heavy foods can lead to constipation problems.
1. Increased Intestine and Colon Length
After you eat your food, it travels to the stomach to be metabolized, broken down to be used for energy. All of the substances that are left behind as un-digested waste, leaves the stomach by entering the intestines — waste enters the small intestines first and then the large intestines. The large intestine, where the blockage occurs, can become backed up without the proper nutrients in it, including water. The length of the intestines and colon increase with the body size, meaning that the time for waste removal usually takes longer with age and constipation can be severe when not handled properly.
What To Do:
Fiber is an important part of the diet, but be aware that too much fiber and not enough water can lead to constipation. Try taking the natural herbal supplements, NOT SYNTHETIC LAXATIVES, to gently improve bowel movements. Here is a good choice to have on hand, Cascara Sagrada.

2. Less Physical Activity
Physical activity can help improve the digestion and movement of food turning into poop quickly. If you can remember your childhood , you probably rarely complained about constipation. Your diet was likely full of vegetables, your parents made you drink plenty of water, and your school likely had a physical activity program that kept you hopping and running. With the respect to gravity, any food or waste in your small body during P.E. likely was removed quickly.
What To Do:
Become more physically active to improve the natural processes of the body that help with bowel movements that reduce constipation. Exercises that have bouncing, jogging, and even walking can lead to better bowel movements.
3. Eating Heavy Food
Consistently eating heavy food can lead to a buildup of waste in the intestines that can result in poop that won't pass easily out of the body. Yes, fiber can be an advantage to helping bulk poop, but when it is taken in with regular heavy eating, and poor hydration, this can be the route to disaster!
What To Do:
Reduce your portion sizes and increase dietary fiber along with water intake. This will help create regular bowel movements that assist with weightloss goals if you have them.
